On February 7 we traveled to Costa Rica to visit our friends Luis & Mercedes. We had a busy schedule. Thursday in San Jose, Friday we drove to Jaco Beach. Saturday we went to Grecia to the Farmers Market. Sunday drove to Cartago & had lunch in the mountains. Stayed home Monday & had a BBQ. Returned home early Tuesday AM.
Quito is a beautiful city filled with magnificent vistas of the Andes, as well as an incredible culture of people. A visit to the middle of the world and be able to have one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other on the south! Certainly have to go back to go to Otavalo Indian market!
In 2005 I was fortunate enough to travel to Lima for work on our phone project. After 10 days of work, we Alex, Carlos and I took a mini vacation and went to Cusco. Here are some photos.
